I don't have my installation instructions, where do I begin?


First thing is to run the install. Choose typical as the install choice. Once the program is install follow the steps below to sign up for data.
1. Launch the TradingExpert Main Menu. Click on the myTrack icon.
2. Choose New and fill in all required information on the First Time Registration screen.
3. Once logged in to myTrack, click on Chat, Administrative, Credit Card. Fill in your credit card details.
4. Select chat, choose Entitlements, Plans. Choose the appropriate plan. For information on plans, click on Functions, View Topics, Plans.
5. Select Entitlements, Exchanges and choose the exchanges you want to have realtime.
6. Click on Entitlements, Features, and enable the TradingExpert/Dial Data feature.
7. Close myTrack.

How do I install the Historical Data CD?

Open Data Manager, click on Manager, Ticker Import Utility. Choose Advanced. This choice is used to import multiple tickers and to limit the search to only those that meet your specific screening criteria.

Which installation choice should I use?

New Users should choose "Typical" as the install choice. This will install the program and the data.
If you are reinstalling, or installing on a new computer and have a backup from an old computer, choose Compact as the install choice. This will only install program files and no data.
Custom install should only be used with the help of Technical Support.

I've installed the program, how do I sign up for data?

Open myTrack, click on chat, entitlements, administrative, credit card. Fill out your credit card information. Then, click on entitlements, features and enable the TradingExpert/Dial Data feature. Close myTrack to save changes.

What are the minimum system requirements for TradingExpert?

IBM Compatible with Pentium 200 and 32 MB of RAM. (P300 and 64MB Ram is recommended).
Windows 98, NT, ME or 2000.
32MB free disk space.
56K modem (Cable, DSL or ISDN recommended).

I get an error -119 during install, what do I do?

Go to www.trackdata.com and run the install for myTrack, then try the TradingExpert install again.

The icons on the main menu are gray, what do I need to do to activate them?

Can I install TradingExpert to a directory that is different than the default?

Yes, but it is not recommended.
